SOUTHGATE ANDERSON HIGH SCHOOL: 22
The Huron Girls JV Basketball team opened up the season with a big win by a score of 47-22 against Southgate Anderson. The Chiefs were led by Hannah Petroski who scored 13 points, Anna Atherton who scored 9 points, and Brianna Vargo who added 8 points. The entire Chiefs team played solid defense only allowing Southgate to make 8 baskets the entire game. It was a great start to the season for the girls and they travel to Taylor Kennedy on Tuesday to play Allen Park at a neutral site.
